Use of Money


(a)

Except as provided by Subsection (b) and Chapter 56B (Crime Victims’ Compensation), Code of Criminal Procedure, money in the compensation to victims of crime auxiliary fund may only be used to pay claims as provided by this chapter and is not available for any other purpose. Section 403.095 (Use of Dedicated Revenue), Government Code, does not apply to the fund.

(b)

The legislature may appropriate money in the compensation to victims of crime auxiliary fund to cover costs incurred by the comptroller in administering this chapter.
