Commercial Fisheries Research


(a)

The department shall conduct research in and develop commercial fisheries under an Act of Congress entitled “Commercial Fisheries Research and Development Act of 1964” (Title 16, Sections 779-779f, U.S.C.A.). The department shall comply with the act and the rules and regulations promulgated under the act by the secretary of the interior.

(b)

Funds received from the federal government and appropriated by the state for research and development of commercial fisheries shall be deposited in the state treasury to the credit of the game, fish, and water safety account.
