Tex. Ins. Code Section 964.073
Adjuster License Not Required; Exception


(a)

Except as provided by Subsection (b), a captive insurance company is not required to use a person licensed as an adjuster under Chapter 4101 (Insurance Adjusters) to adjust losses.

(b)

A captive insurance company shall use a person licensed as an adjuster under Chapter 4101 (Insurance Adjusters) to adjust a claim that a person that is not an affiliated company or an insured controlled unaffiliated business makes against an affiliated company insured by the captive insurance company.
