Tex. Ins. Code Section 841.002
Applicability of Chapter and Other Law


Except as otherwise expressly provided by this code, each insurance company incorporated or engaging in business in this state as a life insurance company, an accident insurance company, a life and accident insurance company, a health and accident insurance company, or a life, health, and accident insurance company is subject to:

Chapters 425 (Reserves and Investments for Life Insurance) and 493 (Authorized Reinsurance; Credit and Accounting);
