Tex. Ins. Code Section 562.160
Administrative Penalty for Violation of Cease and Desist Order

(a)

A person who violates a cease and desist order issued under Section 562.158 (Cease and Desist Order) is subject to an administrative penalty under Chapter 84 (Administrative Penalties).

(b)

In determining whether a person has violated a cease and desist order, the department shall consider the maintenance of procedures reasonably adapted to ensure compliance with the order.

(c)

An administrative penalty imposed under this section may not exceed:

(1)

$1,000 for each violation; or

(2)

$5,000 for all violations.

(d)

An order of the department imposing an administrative penalty under this section applies only to a violation of the cease and desist order committed before the date the order imposing the penalty is issued.
