Tex. Ins. Code Section 227.001
Disposition of Tax Proceeds

(a)

The proceeds of the taxes imposed under Chapter 221 (Property and Casualty Insurance Premium Tax), 222 (Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Premium Tax), 224 (Reciprocal and Interinsurance Exchange Premium Tax), or 226 (Unauthorized and Independently Procured Insurance Premium Tax) shall be deposited to the credit of the general revenue fund.

(b)

An amount equal to one-fourth of the proceeds deposited under Subsection (a) shall be transferred to the credit of the foundation school fund.
