Tex. Health & Safety Code Section 775.052
Petition for Dissolution; Notice of Hearing

(a)

Before a district may be dissolved, the district’s board must receive a petition signed by at least 10 percent of the registered voters in the district.

(b)

If the petition is in proper form, the board shall set a place, date, and time for a hearing to consider the petition.

(c)

The board shall give notice of the hearing. The notice must include:

(1)

the name of the district;

(2)

a description of the district’s boundaries;

(3)

the proposal that the district be dissolved; and

(4)

the place, date, and time of the hearing on the petition.

(d)

The notice shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the district once a week for two consecutive weeks. The first publication must occur not later than the 21st day before the date on which the hearing will be held.
