Tex. Health & Safety Code Section 572.0022
Information on Medications


(a)

A mental health facility shall provide to a patient in the patient’s primary language, if possible, and in accordance with department rules information relating to prescription medication ordered by the patient’s treating physician.

(b)

The facility shall also provide the information to the patient’s family on request, but only to the extent not otherwise prohibited by state or federal confidentiality laws.
