Tex. Health & Safety Code Section 554.001
Admission of Certain Juveniles


(a)

The department shall use the Waco Center for Youth as a residential treatment facility for emotionally disturbed juveniles who:

(1)

have been admitted under Subtitle C to a facility of the department; or

(2)

are under the managing conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services and have been admitted under Subtitle C to the Waco Center for Youth.

(b)

An emotionally disturbed juvenile who has been found to have engaged in delinquent conduct or conduct indicating a need for supervision under Title 3, Family Code, may not be admitted to the Waco Center for Youth.
