Tex. Election Code Section 42.062
Precincts for Certain Special Elections


A county authority ordering an election shall establish the election precincts for the election if:

(1)

the election is a special election affecting only part of the county; or

(2)

the election relates to the creation, organization, functioning, or existence of one or more political subdivisions other than the county.
