Compensation for Carrier or Service Provider

(a)

A communication common carrier or a provider of an electronic communications service that provides facilities and assistance to the department or a designated law enforcement office or agency under Article 18B.101 (Order Authorizing Installation and Use of Pen Register, Esn Reader, or Similar Equipment)(b) is entitled to compensation at the prevailing rates for the facilities and assistance.

(b)

A communication common carrier that provides facilities and assistance to a designated law enforcement office or agency under Article 18B.102 (Order Authorizing Installation and Use of Trap and Trace Device or Similar Equipment)(b) is entitled to compensation at the prevailing rates for the facilities and assistance.
