Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Section 605.004
Deceptive Trade Practice

(a)

A violation of this chapter is a deceptive trade practice in addition to the practices described by Subchapter E (Short Title), Chapter 17 (Deceptive Trade Practices), and is actionable by a consumer under that subchapter. Claims related to more than one consumer may not be joined in a single action brought for an alleged violation of this chapter, unless all parties agree.

(b)

A violation of this chapter is subject to an action by the office of the attorney general as provided by Section 17.46 (Deceptive Trade Practices Unlawful)(a).
