Tex. Local Gov't Code Section 324.043
Compensation and Reimbursement


A board member is not entitled to compensation but is entitled to reimbursement for necessary expenses, including travel expenses, incurred in performing the duties of a board member. A board member’s reimbursement for necessary expenses, in excess of $250, shall be approved by the commissioners court. A board member’s approved expense account shall be paid in due time by the board’s check or warrant.
