Tex. Local Gov't Code Section 321.021
Composition; Term; Qualifications

(a)

The board must be composed of seven commissioners appointed by the county judge with the approval of the commissioners court.

(b)

A commissioner serves for a term of two years from the date of appointment.

(c)

A park commissioner may not be an officer or employee of the county or of a municipality in the county.
