Tex. Local Gov't Code Section 292.029
Court Facilities in Populous Counties


(a)

This section applies only to a county with a population of 2.2 million or more.

(b)

The commissioners court of a county may designate a specific geographical location in the county other than the county courthouse as an auxiliary county seat for the holding of nonjury court proceedings.
