Tex. Local Gov't Code Section 141.031
Base Salary


(a)

In a municipality with a population of 10,000 to 40,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $165 a month.

(b)

In a municipality with a population of 40,001 to 100,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $195 a month.

(c)

In a municipality with a population of 100,001 to 175,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $210 a month.

(d)

In a municipality with a population of more than 175,000, each member of the fire or police department is entitled to receive a salary of at least $220 a month.
