Maintenance of Funds and Accounts

(a)

A county treasurer shall maintain in the county treasury a fund or account to which money is allocated under Section 135.101 (Local Consolidated Civil Fee for Certain Civil Cases in District Court, Statutory County Court, or County Court), 135.102 (Local Civil Fee for Probate, Guardianship, and Mental Health Cases in Statutory County Court, Statutory Probate Court, or County Court), or 135.103 (Local Consolidated Civil Fee for Justice Court), to the extent that the fund or account is not required by other law. Money in an account maintained under this section may be used only for the purposes provided by this subchapter.

(b)

An account or fund maintained under this section in a county treasury may be administered by or at the direction of the county commissioners court.
