Applicability of Other Law

Embryonic and fetal tissue remains are not pathological waste under state law. Unless otherwise provided by this chapter, Chapters 711 (General Provisions Relating to Cemeteries) and 716 (Crematories) of this code and Chapter 651 (Crematory Services, Funeral Directing, and Embalming), Occupations Code, do not apply to the disposition of embryonic and fetal tissue remains.
