Tex. Health & Safety Code Section 121.0245
Duties of Part-time Health Authority

(a)

If a physician appointed to serve as health authority for a county serves in that office part-time, the physician may:

(1)

coordinate with the director of the local health department for the county in the performance of the duties imposed by Section 121.024 (Duties)(c)(3); and

(2)

notify the department that the physician serves part-time in the office of health authority for the county.

(b)

If the department provides information to a physician who serves part-time as health authority for a county, the department shall also provide the information to the director of the local health department for the county.
