Performance Reports

(a)

The department shall prepare annually a full report of the operation and administration of the department’s responsibilities under this chapter, including recommendations and suggestions considered advisable.

(b)

The Legislative Budget Board and the state auditor shall jointly prescribe the form and content of reports required under this section, provided, however, that the state auditor’s participation under this section is subject to approval by the legislative audit committee for inclusion in the audit plan under Section 321.013 (Powers and Duties of State Auditor)(c), Government Code.

(c)

The department shall submit the required report to the governor and the legislature not later than March 1 of each year.
