Tex. Gov't Code Section 851.004
Powers, Privileges, and Immunities


(a)

The retirement system has the powers, privileges, and immunities of a corporation, as well as the powers, privileges, and immunities conferred by this subtitle.

(b)

The board of trustees, director, members of an advisory committee or medical board appointed by the board of trustees, and staff of the retirement system are not liable for any action taken or omission made or suffered by them in good faith in the performance of any duty in connection with any program, system, or benefit administered by the retirement system.
