Tex. Gov't Code Section 839.004
Disclaimer of Benefits

The retirement system shall give effect to a full or partial disclaimer of benefits executed in accordance with Chapter 240 (Texas Uniform Disclaimer of Property Interests Act), Property Code, unless the benefit to be disclaimed is a lifetime annuity.
