Tex. Gov't Code Section 830.104
Withdrawal of Contributions to the Retirement System


(a)

A person who is a participant in the optional retirement program may withdraw accumulated contributions from the retirement system.

(b)

An application to withdraw contributions under this section must be in writing and on a form prescribed by the board of trustees.

(c)

Before the first anniversary of the date an application is received, the retirement system shall pay a withdrawing member the member’s accumulated contributions.

(d)

A person who withdraws contributions under this section relinquishes all accrued rights in the retirement system.

(e)

Nothing in Section 830.105 (Termination of Participation) precludes the election by a participant to withdraw accumulated contributions under this section.
