Tex. Gov't Code Section 823.201
Current Membership Service


(a)

Membership service is credited in the retirement system for each year in which a member is an employee and for which the member renders sufficient service for credit under Section 823.002 (Service Creditable in a Year) and makes and maintains with the retirement system the deposits required by this subtitle or prior law.

(b)

The board of trustees may adopt rules for the granting of membership service credit.
