Tex. Gov't Code Section 821.103
Cancellation of Teacher Certificate


(a)

After receiving notice from the board of trustees of an offense under Section 821.101 (Conversion of Funds; Fraud) and after complying with Chapter 2001 (Administrative Procedure) and rules adopted by the State Board for Educator Certification, the State Board for Educator Certification may cancel the teacher certificate of a person if the State Board for Educator Certification determines that the person committed the offense.

(b)

The executive director of the State Board for Educator Certification may enter into an agreed sanction.

(c)

A criminal prosecution of an offender under Section 821.101 (Conversion of Funds; Fraud) is not a prerequisite to action by the State Board for Educator Certification or its executive director.
