Tex. Gov't Code Section 71.015
Terms of Citizen Members


(a)

Citizen members serve for staggered terms of six years with two members’ terms expiring on June 30 of each odd-numbered year.

(b)

A vacancy in citizen membership is filled for the unexpired term by appointment by the governor.

(c)

A citizen member serves on the council until his successor is appointed and has qualified.
