Tex. Gov't Code Section 556.007
Termination of Employment

A state employee who causes an employee to be discharged, demoted, or otherwise discriminated against for providing information under Section 556.006 (Legislative Lobbying)(b) or who violates Section 556.004 (Prohibited Acts of Agencies and Individuals)(c) or (d) is subject to immediate termination of employment.
