Tex. Gov't Code Section 525.0207
Health Information Exchange System Stage Three: Expansion

In stage three of implementing the health information exchange system, the commission may expand the system by:

(1)

developing evidence-based benchmarking tools for a health care provider to use in evaluating the provider’s own performance on health care outcomes and overall quality of care as compared to aggregated peer performance data; and

(2)

expanding the system to include state agencies, additional health care providers, laboratories, diagnostic facilities, hospitals, and medical offices.
