Tex. Gov't Code Section 496.101
Automated Inventory and Maintenance System


(a)

As funds are appropriated for that purpose, the department shall establish for each facility of the department an automated inventory and maintenance system that interacts with the centralized computer system of the department.

(b)

The system must maintain inventory records for parts and supplies control, monitor preventive maintenance and warranty schedules for equipment, estimate time standards for maintenance jobs, and organize a work order control process.
