Tex. Gov't Code Section 492.012
Sunset Provision


The Texas Board of Criminal Justice and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice are subject to Chapter 325 (Texas Sunset Act). Unless continued in existence as provided by that chapter, the board and the department are abolished September 1, 2025.
