Tex. Gov't Code Section 444.027
Texas Commission on the Arts Operating Fund


(a)

The Texas Commission on the Arts operating fund is a special fund in the state treasury.

(b)

Money deposited to the credit of the operating fund may be appropriated only to carry out the commission’s powers and duties under this chapter and for necessary administrative costs incurred by the commission under this chapter.

(c)

The operating fund is exempt from the application of Sections 403.095 (Use of Dedicated Revenue) and 404.071 (Disposition of Interest on Investments). Interest received from investments of money in the operating fund shall be allocated monthly by the comptroller to the operating fund.
