Calhoun County Court at Law Provisions
(a)
In addition to the jurisdiction provided by Section 25.0003 (Jurisdiction) and other law, and except as limited by Subsection (b), a county court at law in Calhoun County has the jurisdiction provided by the constitution and by general law for district courts.(b)
A county court at law does not have jurisdiction of:(1)
felony cases other than writs of habeas corpus;(2)
misdemeanors involving official misconduct;(3)
contested elections; or(4)
appeals from county court.(c)

The salary of the judge of a county court at law shall be paid semimonthly in equal installments by the county treasurer on order of the commissioners court. The judge is entitled to travel expenses and necessary office expenses, including administrative and clerical assistance, as authorized by the commissioners court.(g)
The official court reporter of a county court at law is entitled to receive a salary set by the commissioners court. The salary shall be paid semimonthly by the commissioners court out of funds available for that purpose.(h)
