Assistance


(a)

The bank shall assist:

(1)

a qualified business in obtaining the benefits of any incentive or inducement program provided by law;

(2)

a unit of local government in obtaining status as a federal zone designation that furthers the purpose of this chapter;

(3)

a nominating body in obtaining assistance from another state agency, including training and technical assistance to qualified businesses in an enterprise zone; and

(4)

a nominating body in developing small business incubators.

(b)

The bank shall provide to persons desiring to locate and engage in business in an enterprise zone information and appropriate assistance relating to the required legal authorization, including a state license, permit, certificate, approval, registration, or charter, to engage in business in this state.

(c)

The bank shall publicize existing tax incentives and economic development programs in enterprise zones.

(d)

On request the bank shall offer to a unit of local government having an enterprise zone within its jurisdiction technical assistance relating to tax abatement and the development of alternative revenue sources.
