Appointments


(a)

Appointments to the commission shall be made without regard to the race, color, disability, sex, religion, age, or national origin of the appointees.

(b)

In making appointments under this section, the governor and lieutenant governor shall attempt to appoint women and members of different minority groups, including African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and Asian Americans.
