Tex. Gov't Code Section 153.057
Collection of Penalty


(a)

If the person does not pay the penalty and the enforcement of the penalty is not stayed in accordance with supreme court rules, the penalty may be collected.

(b)

The attorney general may sue to collect the penalty and may recover reasonable expenses, including attorney’s fees, incurred in recovering the penalty.

(c)

A penalty collected under this subchapter shall be deposited in the state treasury in the general revenue fund.
