Tex. Gov't Code Section 152.055
Terms; Vacancy; Removal


(a)

Members of the commission serve staggered six-year terms. The terms of three members expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.

(b)

If a vacancy occurs during a member’s term, the supreme court shall appoint a similarly qualified person to fill the unexpired term.

(c)

The supreme court may remove a member of the commission for inefficiency or neglect of duty in office.
