Tex. Gov't Code Section 1433.025
Advertising for Certain Contracts; Performance and Payment Bonds


(a)

A contract for construction or purchase under this chapter involving the expenditure of more than $2,000 may be made only after advertising in the manner provided by Chapter 252 (Purchasing and Contracting Authority of Municipalities), Local Government Code, or Subchapter C (Notice Requirement), Chapter 262 (Purchasing and Contracting Authority of Counties), Local Government Code, as applicable.

(b)

The provisions of Chapter 2253 (Public Work Performance and Payment Bonds) relating to performance and payment bonds apply to construction contracts let by the issuer.
